Thanks for info. I had not heard of this series at all. I’m not sure if that is a bad sign or a good one. I think it will come down to – is this series made by people who get the genre and its tropes, or is it made by people who want to make fun of the people who get this genre and its tropes? That’s often the difference between good parody and bad.
The guy who plays the titular character also played Leonidas in “Meet the Spartans”. That doesn’t bode well.
I hadn’t heard of it either till I saw a promo this week; I hear they kinda unveiled it at NYC ComicCon. It does depend on who’s making it, but Comedy Central has a pretty good track record… From Futurama to Reno:911, I think many comedy writers nowadays have been gamers.
